One Man Show
The Solo Production Setup
The One Man Show setup is designed for content creators and streamers who are taking on the roles of both Producer and Observer.
Because you're observing and streaming from the same computer, we recommend using the Observer HUD as your Popout HUD. This gives you the additional information you need to observe effectively, including player numbers that disappear when the default VALORANT UI is hidden.
Set Up Event
Open or create the event you will be streaming. Start filling in all the necessary information for your broadcast (Game information, Teams/players, HUD editor, etc.). If you get lost, head back to our Dashboard page for tutorials.
Open Blob App
Make sure you open the Blob app BEFORE opening Valorant.
Always double check to make sure you have the up-to-date Blob app. You can check the GitHUB and follow us on Discord to receive information on updates. Also check to make sure Valorant has not had a recent update.
Desktop Connection
Copy your server code into the Blob app. Since your account is the owner, you should automatically be accepted. More information on how to do this can be found at Overview.
Copy Overlay URLs to Streaming Software
Copy and paste the necessary overlay URLs into browser sources of your streaming software. You can open the URLs in a normal browser to have a quick look. Keep in mind the Ingame HUD will be blank until game information is sent. Double check all scenes look good and make adjustments as necessary.
Open Valorant
Set up the Valorant game that will be played. If you are running your own tournament, host a custom game, enable tournament mode. Move to the observer section and tick the grey and blue box under your name. More info in tournament setup.
Observer HUD
Click Start Overlay.
Since you have hidden the default VALORANT UI, you will lose access to important information such as player numbers on the minimap.
To solve this, use the Observer Popout HUD to give you the additional information you need to effectively follow the game and identify players while you're observing.
Firstly, set your in-game screen to fullscreen window mode (Settings —> Video). Then in the Blob desktop app, click Show HUD on the top right, and select Observer HUD. Make sure it is on Follow VALORANT.
What does this mean?
Essentially, you are streaming a clean video feed of the game to your streaming software. Your streaming software will pick it up as a game capture and layer the ingame HUD as a browser source on top. Then on your own monitor, you are layering your own Popout HUD ontop of your game (That won't be seen by your veiwers) where you can access player numbers and stats to help you observe the game.
Test Run
We highly recommend a test run to make sure everything is working smoothly. Hop in a custom match (best with others). Test the game audio, video quality, and that all HUDs (especially the observer popout HUD) are working.
